Police briefs 04/02/01

A 20-year-old male student was cited Friday for spray painting graffiti on a concrete wall under the Farm Lane bridge.The student was spotted at about 7 p.m. painting on the wall next to the Red Cedar River, MSU police Sgt. Maureen Ramsey said. Damage is estimated at $200.

  • A 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse was broken into while parked in Ramp 3, at the Wharton Center.The car was parked in the ramp from 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Ramsey said.A rear passenger side window was broken to gain entry to the car and steal a case of 20 CDs.Damage and losses are estimated at $320. Police have no suspects.
  • A window in the second-floor elevator lobby of West Akers Hall was broken at about 9:05 p.m. Saturday.The window appeared to be broken from the inside, Ramsey said. Damage is estimated at $150 and police have no suspects.
  • A 24-year-old female East Lansing resident reported her Trek bicycle damaged near the Union.The woman left her bike at a rack near the southwest corner of the Union from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Ramsey said. The front and rear wheels were damaged.Damage is estimated at $250. Police have no suspects.
