Police briefs 03/14/01

An 18-year-old female student reported her violin and some sheet music stolen during spring break.The student left the violin in its case in a locked Music Building room March 5, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said. The items were missing when she returned Monday.The violin and music are valued at $855. Police have no suspects.

  • A 19-year-old male student reported his gym bag stolen from bleachers in an IM Sports-West basement gymnasium.The bag had been put in the bleachers while the student played basketball March 6, but was missing when he returned, Willis said.The bag and its contents are valued at $130. Police have no suspects.
