I’m not sure what all the fuss is about just because Eminem was nominated for a Grammy or two. I was under the impression citizens of the United States are allowed freedom of speech.

In my opinion, Eminem’s lyrics don’t support violence against women and gays. They represent feelings and emotions that are much more symbolic - and everyone is entitled to their own ideas.

I think it’s comical so many people would waste their breath and time complaining about the content of certain songs when there are millions of people in the world suffering in poverty. Issues like this serve to disguise the real downfalls of society.

How can one complain about a song that simply depicts real aspects of society? Gays are not treated equal. Women are not treated equal. Are the millions suffering in poverty treated equal? They don’t stand a chance. Eminem didn’t create this epidemic, he just mentions it in his songs.

If you don’t like his music, don’t listen to it. I enjoy listening to Eminem. For those of you who think he is some sort of monster, find something worthwhile to protest because I guarantee you, he is no more of a monster than you or I.
