Police briefs 12/05/00

A vending machine in Wells Hall was broken into between 9 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, the third such incident in the past two weeks, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.The vending machine, located in the B wing, had been pried open and the coin box was missing.About $50 in cash was taken and damage to the machine is estimated at $25.Police have no suspects.

  • Between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, a sweater was stolen from a booth at the craft fair in the Union, Willis said.The green, black and red sweater belonged to a 40-year-old woman running one of the booths. It was valued at $80.Police have no suspects.SARA LUNEBURG
