This letter is in response to the letter written by Tim Vanecek in Tuesdays State News (Basketball ticket sales bother U, SN 10/24). Your comment that you hope the girl who was injured recovers quickly, then finds a good lawyer is an example of everything that is wrong with America today.
Rather than taking responsibility for your own actions, you quickly want to point fingers and pass the blame. The university did not force the mob of you and 800 of your closest friends to rush the portable toilet, nor did it force you to injure this girl. The people who should have a suit filed against them in this incident are the 800 people who are too immature and irresponsible to practice something that most of us learned in kindergarten, standing in a single-file line. In the future, before pointing the finger at someone else, why dont you examine your own actions?
