Police briefs 10/25/00

More than $700 worth of rugs and stadium chairs were stolen from Munn Ice Arena between 5 p.m. Oct. 17 and 5 a.m. Oct. 18, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.An arena worker reported the theft of the four chairs and two custom-made rugs with the words Spartan Hockey written on them each measured 4 feet by 6 feet, he said.Police have no suspects. An investigation is pending.

  • A technician for WKAR radio reported finding an exploded bottle bomb inside the fenced area surrounding the radio’s tower behind the Communication Arts and Sciences Building, Willis said.The technician said the bomb was exploded in that area between Oct. 13 and Oct. 20. The handle to the door of the cooling fan was burnt in the explosion, causing about $25 in damage. Police have no suspects.
