It was as if Mother Nature herself wanted the fourth day of Common Ground be shut down. But despite the weather, the festival successfully proceeded as scheduled.

MSU men’s basketball started its 2015-16 season with a 13-1 start, but that record has been eclipsed by another Spartan team.
After MSU lost the nightcap of Sunday’s doubleheader against Penn State in surprising fashion, the Spartans got back into action on Tuesday afternoon against the University of Michigan. The two rivals scheduled a last-minute non-conference matchup to make up for games that were rained out. The Spartans ended up victorious in their first meeting of the season, by a final score of 11-5.
The tenth annual Crosstown Showdown exhibition game between the Lansing Lugnuts and MSU has been postponed due to rain. As of now, no makeup date has been announced and it is uncertain that the game will even be made up, according to an MSU press release. This is the first time in the annual event’s history that the game has been cancelled.
Update: 3:30 p.m. — Some residents who had to evacuate from Abbot Manor have reported similar problems with their relocations. Advertising senior Sean Reiter was helping his girlfriend, who previously lived in Abbot Manor, move into her new apartment at The Village at Chandler Crossings.

Continuing with events for Mental Health Awareness week, Olin Health Center's Student Health Advisory Council, or SHAC, hosted "Embrace the Rain" on Wednesday night in McDonel Hall’s Kiva.

Saturday’s game for the MSU women’s basketball team (14-4 overall record, 5-2 Big Ten record) against the Maryland Terrapins (17-2 record, 6-1 Big Ten) has been postponed because of inclement weather, according to a press release by the MSU Athletics Department.
