A spokesperson from the MSU athletics department said they are deferring all calls about the alleged involvement of the MSU hockey team in the assault of Brandon Carmack to the East Lansing Police Department and MSU University Relations.

The advertising junior alleges his aggressors are members of the team. Carmack told The State News he did not exactly know how the assailants were tied to the team, nor could he identify specific players.

The incident allegedly occurred last Tuesday morning in the 600 block of Grand River Avenue.
University officials could not be reached for comment.

East Lansing police Capt. Jeff Murphy said Tuesday police are investigating the incident, but he did not release any additional information regarding the incident or possible suspects.
