Choosing to forego his senior season with the MSU hockey team, junior forward Corey Tropp has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, MSU announced Tuesday.
As the team MVP for the Spartans last season, Tropp scored 20 goals and had 22 assists on his way to being named Second Team All-CCHA.
Tropp is the third Spartan this summer to leave school after his junior year for the NHL, joining defenseman Jeff Petry and forward Andrew Rowe.
