WKAR kicks off area food drive
(Last updated: 11/03/09 8:56pm)The annual drive for the Greater Lansing Food Bank is being hosted by WKAR Radio and Television from now through Dec. 15.
Items of commercially bagged, boxed or canned food can be brought to the south lobby of the Communication Arts and Sciences Building to be left in the food bank bin.
Donations then will be taken to the food bank pantry on the delivery date.
Items particularly needed this year include stews, canned meat, boxed dinners, peanut butter and beans.
Nonfood products such as toilet paper and tissue, toothpaste, soap and shampoo, also are accepted.
