MSU has 8 wrestlers place at 1st event
By Alex DiFilippo (Last updated: 11/08/09 11:17pm)In freshman wrestler Dan Osterman’s first collegiate meet, he took first place in the freshman/sophomore division Saturday during the Eastern Michigan Open.
The MSU wrestling team had four top-three finishes in the team’s first meet of the season.
Along with Osterman, freshman Mike McClure took second in the freshman/sophomore division.
In the open divisions, senior Nick Palmieri took second in the 184-pound division, senior Kyle Bounds placed third in the 165-pound division and sophomore Tyler Dickenson took third at the 197-pound division.
The Spartans will host the MSU Open on Sunday at Jenison Field House.
