By Zane McMillin (Last updated: 11/19/09 10:09pm)

Grant Gillett, a neurosurgeon and philosopher from the University of Otago in New Zealand, will present a lecture titled “A Workshop on Ethical and Conceptual Dimensions of States of Minimal Consciousness” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the Heritage Room of the Kellogg Center.

Sponsored by the College of Arts and Letters, the workshop is designed to explore ways to care for people who have a diminished level of consciousness. The event will feature a round table discussion about the relationship between minds and the social world around them.

Admission to the lecture is free. Attendees can park in the Kellogg Center parking garage.
