Board of Water and Light gets award
By Kate Jacobson (Last updated: 11/04/09 9:21pm)The Lansing Board of Water and Light received the Regional Growth Award from the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The award was given to the board because of its leadership in various energy projects, such as constructing and operating Michigan’s largest solar array and being the first utility in the state to adopt a renewable portfolio standard, which is a regulation requiring the increased production of energy from renewable energy sources.
It is one of seven companies and organizations receiving the Regional Growth Award from the Chamber of Commerce.
