Police Brief 02/11/09

By Jacob Carpenter (Last updated: 02/11/09 12:26am)

2 textbooks stolen from dorm

Two textbooks valued at $150 each were stolen from a Case Hall dorm room last weekend, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Two male MSU students, ages 18 and 19, reported the books were stolen sometime between 3 p.m. Friday and 8 p.m. Sunday.

The books — identical green nutrition textbooks with a tomato on the cover — were missing from a bookshelf after the roommates left Case Hall for the weekend, locking the door behind them, McGlothian-Taylor said. A bathroom door connected to a suite was not locked.

Police were not able to interview the two students’ suitemates at the time. There are no suspects.
