City Council to hold meeting tonight
East Lansing residents will have the opportunity to comment on several proposed rezonings within the city at the East Lansing City Council meeting today.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at 7:30 p.m. in Courtroom 2 of 54-B District Court, 101 Linden St.
Two of the properties in question were annexed into the city in 2006, and therefore need to obtain a zoning classification. The properties are both located along Lake Lansing Road.
There also is a proposed modification to the Gillespie Group’s development to allow more residential units within the development’s 16,000 square feet of office space. The development is located off of Coleman Road and currently has 443 dwelling units.
The final proposal is to allow hotels within the city’s restricted office business district.
There will be a public hearing on each of the proposed rezonings at the meeting.
