Top lineman prospect commits to MSU

Offensive lineman Nate Klatt accepted an offer Monday to play for MSU, making him the 10th high school senior to verbally commit to the Spartans, according to Rivals.com.

Klatt, who attends Canal Fulton’s Northwest High School in Ohio, is rated the fourth-best center in the nation by the site.

The 6-foot-4, 286-pound lineman also received offers from Kansas, Indiana, Bowling Green and Akron.

Klatt is the third offensive lineman who has committed to MSU this offseason, joining center Blake Treadwell and guard Micajah Reynolds.

MSU’s recruiting class is ranked 10th in the country for the 2009 season, according to Rivals.com. Fellow Big Ten schools Ohio State and Michigan are ranked first and fourth, respectively, while Penn State is ranked 19th.
