Nicole Bush made her first appearance running for Team USA count.
Bush earned a gold medal in the 3000-meter steeplechase on Wednesday with a time of 10:42.17. She was competing in the North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association Under 23 Track & Field Championships in Toluca, Mexico.
During the Olympic Trials earlier this month, the All-American Spartan came up seven seconds short of an invite to Beijing.
Team USA racked up 62 medals in the competition, while Mexico finished second with 19 medals and Canada finished third with 15 medals.
