MSU icer to bring talents overseas

Vukovic
Former MSU hockey player Daniel Vukovic will continue his hockey career in Switzerland.
On Friday, the defenseman signed a three-year professional contract with Geneve-Servette Hockey Club in Geneva, Switzerland.
“It’s an exciting time for me and my family,” Vukovic said in a press release. “I’ve talked to many former players who played in Europe during the NHL lockout, and from everything I have heard, this experience will help me grow as a hockey player and as a person.”
A senior last season, Vukovic was an assistant captain and had his best offensive year, racking up three goals and 19 assists. Vukovic also won the Hardest Shot event in the NCAA’s 2008 Frozen Four Skills Challenge.
“I have to thank the coaches and staff at Michigan State for not only bringing me into the program, but in developing me as a player for four years,” Vukovic said in the release. “My four years were an unbelievable experience, and I am proud to be a Spartan.”
