Incoming freshman icer snagged in NHL draft
Incoming MSU freshman Daultan Leveille was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the first round of Friday’s NHL entry draft.
The St. Catharines, Ontario native was the 29th overall pick, making him the ninth player in program history to get drafted in the first round.
Leveille is the first MSU hockey player to get drafted in the first round since 2004, when defenseman A.J. Thelen was snagged by the Minnesota Wild with the 12th overall pick.
