Volleyball inks recruiting class

Four recruits will join the MSU volleyball team for the 2008 season.

MSU head coach Cathy George announced the signing of Kyndra Abron, Natalie Emro, Carli Weiler and Rebecca Zlabis to the 2012 recruiting class.

Livonia native Abron was named Michigan’s 2007 Miss Volleyball, in addition to numerous other accolades. She was ranked No. 14 in the nation on PrepVolleyball.com Senior Aces list.

Emro, a St. Louis native, joins Abron on PrepVolleyball.com’s “Senior Aces” list at No. 33 while leading her high school team in assists with an average 10.62 per game.

Weiler — from Chicago — will help the team defensively, as she was named to the Defensive Dandies list by PrepVolleyball.com – where she also is listed as one of the top five liberos in the country.

Illinois native Zlabis rounds out the 2012 class with a No. 73 ranking on PrepVolleyball.com’s Senior Aces list.
