Police briefs 04/13/06

A 19-year-old student reported about $800 in damage to her car while it was parked in Lot 89 between 11:15 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The soft top of her car was cut above the passenger side. Items were scattered about the car, but nothing was missing.A 34-year-old student reported two textbooks stolen from the Main Library's third floor at about 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left the books, valued at $120, unattended in his backpack for about five minutes.A 22-year-old student reported his wallet stolen from the Union food court between 3 and 5:30 p.m. Friday, McGlothian-Taylor said.
