MSU’s first stint in the AP top-25 since the end of the 2011 season lasted one week.
The Spartans were in a familiar location when the newest poll came out yesterday, sitting just outside the top-25 and receiving four votes.
Iowa sits at No. 23 while Purdue moved up one spot to No. 14 after knocking off MSU and Big Ten-leading Penn State sits at No. 7.
Michigan also dropped from the rankings but received the most votes of any team with 42. Nebraska also received two votes.
