Jaren Jackson Jr., Deyonta Davis and the Memphis Grizzlies will compete in the quarterfinal round of the NBA Summer League 2018 playoffs after defeating the Utah Jazz 92-86 Saturday night.

After the win, the Grizzlies next face off in the quarterfinal round against the Philadelphia 76ers at 10:00 p.m. July 15.

Four former Spartans have helped guide their teams to at least the second round of the NBA Summer League playoffs.

Former MSU big men Jackson Jr. and Davis helped guide the Memphis Grizzlies to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs after defeating the Utah Jazz 92-86 Saturday evening. Jackson Jr. finished the game with nine points, nine rebounds, and seven blocks. Davis finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

Former MSU small forward Miles Bridges and the Charlotte Hornets fell to the Toronto Raptors by a score of 87-84. Bridges finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, but the Hornets were eliminated from the playoff games.

Former MSU guard Travis Trice and the Milwaukee Bucks were knocked out by the Philadelphia 76ers with a score of 91-89. Trice finished the game with seven points.

Jackson Jr. and Bridges will both be rookies this NBA season after being drafted No. 4 overall and No. 12 overall, respectively, in last month’s NBA Draft.
