Former Spartan forwards Jaren Jackson Jr. and Miles Bridges have been selected in the lottery of the 2018 NBA Draft.

On Thursday night, Jackson Jr. was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies as the No. 4 pick of the draft.

Bridges was selected as No. 12 by the L.A. Clippers. He was then immediately traded to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

MSU Basketball head coach Tom Izzo, who coached Jackson Jr. and Bridges during their time at the university, spoke with NBA TV about the former Spartans' strengths.

Izzo broke down the two players' best playing qualities.

"In Jaren, you know, he’s got incredible length and is perfect, an NBA guy especially for the new NBA," Izzo said.

Izzo said that he thinks Bridges has a unique competitiveness and desire to succeed.

"In Miles’ case, guy came back and tried to win a championship which means winning is important to him and I’m not sure that’s common in this day and age," Izzo said.
