MSU Greek Community to host Safe Halloween

October 26, 2015

Each year the MSU Greek community hosts their Safe Halloween event to give children and families something to do for the holiday celebrations.

The event, put on by fraternities and sororities affiliated with MSU, is put on in an effort for the Greek community to become better connected with the Greater Lansing community.

"The purpose of Safe Halloween is to provide a fun, safe alternative to trick-or-treating for the children and families of East Lansing," Samantha Moody, Director of External Events for the Greek community, said.

Greek community members will be dressed for the occasion, lining the streets with games and handing out prizes and candy. Other local organizations and businesses will also be in attendance to distribute more free goods. A DJ will be present as well, playing family-friendly, Halloween-themed music.

This year's Safe Halloween event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Great Pumpkin Walk. The event will be located on M.A.C Avenue, in between Burcham and Elizabeth Street.
