May 13, 2014

Lansing and East Lansing Police released the names of the two victims killed in Monday's shootings

Lansing police chief Michael Yankowski said Michael Addo, 35 years old, of Mason, Mich. was the employee killed at the Rite Aid on Monday. Yankowski said at this time police know the shooting was not part of a robbery for drugs or money.

East Lansing police Chief Juli Liebler identified the man killed on Coolidge Road as Jordan Rogers, 27 years old, of East Lansing, Mich.

Police said the suspect and Rogers lived together in the duplex on Coolidge Road.

Police believe the suspect acted alone and are not sure if the victims knew each other. Yankowski said police will likely release the name of the suspect when he is formally arraigned later today or tomorrow.
