After spending hours at the bottom of the Red Cedar River last week, a 2007 Buick Lucerne probably suffered from its foray into campus waters, according to the East Lansing Police Department.
At about 3 a.m. March 30, the car was pulled dripping wet from the Red Cedar River near the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Hagadorn Road.
The incident still is under investigation, East Lansing police Capt. Bill Mitchell said, but everyone associated with the dark-colored vehicle has been accounted for, and there were no victims of the incident.
Local auto experts said the car likely isn’t worth repairing after the damage it sustained.
