On Tuesday, Mark Dantonio announced that junior linebacker Jon Reschke would be out “for a significant period of time,” with an ankle sprain. Dantonio also said that Riley Bullough is day-to-day and a decision will be made on his status later in the week.
With hockey season right around the corner, the Big Ten conference announced their preseason coaches' poll, according to a press release. Of the six teams in the conference, MSU came in at sixth after a 10-23-4 record last season.

On Friday MSU ousted the University of Iowa (10-4, 0-2 Big Ten) before falling to the No. 1 University of Nebraska (11-0, 2-0 Big Ten) on Saturday.
