The Spartans have altered their weekend series against Fresno State and will move the games from East Lansing, Mich., to Grand Rapids, Mich. MSU announced Thursday afternoon in a press release that due to wet field conditions and inclement weather, the weekend series will be moved to Fifth Third Ballpark, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps. What was intended to be a three-game series starting on Friday will now be condensed into two days.
MSU football will kick off their 2019 season on Aug. 31, when the Spartans host the University of Tulsa, FBSSchedules.com reported Wednesday. With the Spartans' addition of the Golden Hurricanes, their 2019 schedule is now tentatively completed. According to FBSchedules.com, the Golden Hurricanes will receive a $1.2 million guarantee for their participation in the game in what will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
