Junior Sarah Martin was the runner-up in the 86th Michigan Women’s Amateur Golf Championship on Friday. Martin was defeated by Clarkston’s Mary Jane Anderson Hiestand 1-up in the title match at The Moor Course at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs. After 14 holes Anderson Hiestand led, but Martin birdied the next three holes to tie the match with 17 holes completed.
