3 Spartans earn AVCA postseason honor

Following the upset loss to Arizona in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the MSU volleyball team announced Tuesday juniors Alyssa Garvelink and Autumn Bailey have been selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Association, AVCA, All-North team, and senior Alyssa Fitterer was an honorable mention pick, according to a press release.

Spartans defeat Quinnipiac on the road, improve to 8-2 overall

The MSU women’s basketball team went on the road Tuesday to play Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. With a commanding win over Quinnipiac, the Spartans bring their season record to 8-2 overall. It was an all-around effort from the Spartans as senior captain and guard Tori Jankoska led the team with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds.
