MSU hockey defeats Wisconsin 4-3 with gutsy performance
MSU hockey (5-9-2) can celebrate for the first time in over a month after a gutsy come from behind 4-3 victory over Wisconsin (3-7-5) on Saturday at Munn Ice Arena. “We needed to find a way to win and we found a way to win,” head coach Tom Anastos said.

The national championship game will commence Jan. 11, 2016 in Glendale, Arizona at University of Phoenix Stadium at 8:30 p.m. EST.

MSU's 'Miracle at the Big House' voted Play of the Year in college football
MSU’s miraculous last second touchdown off a botched punt attempt to defeat Michigan 27-23 was named play of the year Thursday night in a fan vote at ESPN’s Home Depot College Football Awards presentation. However, MSU head coach Mark Dantonio was on hand to accept it on Watts-Jackson’s behalf.

Nearly every member of the 2000 national champion MSU basketball team will be honored in a ceremony at current No. 1 MSU's game against the Florida Gators on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Breslin Center.

MSU hockey looks to stop skid against Wisconsin
MSU hockey (4-9-2) has more or less swept its past four games under the rug; at least that’s the sentiment from the locker room as it prepares to take on Wisconsin (3-6-5) for a two game series at Munn Ice Arena this weekend. It’s a matchup of two desperate teams as neither has a win in it’s last five games.

Depth, chemistry, defense abundant for MSU basketball
MSU Basketball’s 10-0 start can be chalked up to three things. Depth, chemistry, and defense. The three were on display wednesday night as MSU defeated now 1-8 Maryland Eastern Shore 78-35. Early in the season the games should’ve been labeled the Denzel Valentine show co-starring Bryn Forbes.

Clark Jr. shows progress for MSU basketball as he returns from foot injury
As fast of a start the undefeated and No. 1 MSU basketball team has gotten off to this season, it's been a bit of a slow one for MSU sophomore forward Marvin Clark Jr. After sitting out the first two games of the season while recovering from a foot surgery he had in September, Clark has struggled to get back to shape he was in last season. But his recent play has showed promise.

Some graduate students spend a lot of their time working or gazing at a computer screen. Community sustainability graduate student Samantha Loscalzo thinks it's good to provide a social and physical environment for graduate students to unwind at the end of a long week. After hearing about Greater Lansing Sport and Social Club Loscalzo decided to join and play the intense game of dodgeball.

The MSU Club Figure Skating team practices at Munn Ice Arena only once or twice a month as a team, but the girls themselves have to put in at least an hour of ice time every week.

No. 1 MSU basketball wins big against Maryland Eastern Shore
The No. 1 MSU basketball team defeated the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks Wednesday night at Breslin Center, 78-35. The Spartans are now 10-0 on the season. Senior MSU guard Bryn Forbes finished with 14 points, five assists and three rebounds while senior guard Denzel Valentine chipped in with 11 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

Connor Cook wins 2015 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award
Senior quarterback Connor Cook has been regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in the country all season long, Tuesday afternoon that talk was validated with some hardware. Cook's play this season has earned him the 2015 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, presented annually since 1987 to the nation’s top college quarterback.

Dantonio named finalist for Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award
Mark Dantonio is now a finalist for the 2015 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award handed out by the Football Writers Association of America and the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

MSU basketball to honor 2000 national champion team during Florida game
MSU head basketball coach Tom Izzo confirmed Monday that the 2000 MSU national championship basketball team will be honored during his current No. 1 MSU basketball team's home game against Florida on Saturday. The 2000 team went 32-7 and were led by the likes of senior point guard Mateen Cleaves and forward Morris Peterson.
