After serious knee injury, MSU track star Rachele Schulist making big strides in performance

It was the halfway mark of the 10,000 meter race at the Raleigh Relays on March 26 and MSU track stars Rachele Schulist and Alexis Wiersma had led the way through much of the first 5,000 meters. However, the pace was slow and the two of them had goal times they had to hit, so Wiersma turned to Schulist and told her they had to make a move. And that Schulist did, making such a move, Wiersma said it was too much for her to keep up with. In just her second race back from a patella stress fracture which put her out of racing for the better

COLUMN: Junior guard Aerial Powers should not leave MSU to go into the WNBA Draft

The MSU women’s basketball team is coming off one of their most successful seasons while under the tenure of head coach Suzy Merchant. Last season, the Spartans reached the Big Ten Tournament championship game and proved to be one of the most dominant teams in the conference. MSU could be heavy contenders next season as well, but there are some unanswered questions the team will have to face between now and the start of the season — one of those questions will hinge on Aerial Powers.
