Spartans say that Minnesota is no trap game

While Spartan fans across the country have been soaking in and raving about MSU’s upset victory over then-No. 7 Michigan last weekend, the team has completely put that win in its rear-view mirror and have set the main focus on Minnesota.

MEN'S SOCCER

Men's soccer program in a good place with Rensing at the the helm

If you ask Rensing about his 100th career win for the now No. 6 Spartans, he’ll just say “it’s just another win.” “Us coaches, we’re so ingrained in the season,” Rensing said.  “All I care about is beating Wisconsin. I’ll think about (the 100th win) for five seconds, and then I’ll be thinking ‘Oh God, we got to play West Virginia.” But that’s who Rensing is. A coach that never puts his personal feats in front of the team he’s coaching and makes sure the players and the team come first.

VOLLEYBALL

MSU volleyball defeats Wisconsin, records season sweep

“It’s just Big Ten volleyball,” head coach Cathy George said. “If you’re going to do anything in this league, you’re going to have to beat a lot of top ten teams. I felt good that we were able to beat Wisconsin two times this year already and even though it’s weird to have it so close, back-to-back.”

Podcast: Michigan Reactions

Sam Metry and Souichi Terada are back with an emergency podcast to breakdown the Spartans upset over Michigan last weekend. Terada and Metry talk the weather in Ann Arbor, MSU's defense's ability to force turnovers, and what this win means for the Spartans. Later in the show, the two talk about some of their favorite press room food.
