Former MSU running back gears up for Seattle

The State News caught up with Seattle Seahawks running back T.J. Duckett this week. The MSU alumnus and seventh year pro has played for three other NFL teams — the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, and last year, the Detroit Lions. At MSU, Duckett was a second team All-American and a two-time All-Big Ten selection.

Stanton looks to bounce back with Lions

The State News caught up with Detroit Lions quarterback Drew Stanton. The MSU alumnus and second-year pro is attempting to bounce back from a knee injury he sustained in training camp last season that forced him to miss the entire year.

The State News recently caught up with professional hockey player Adam Hall. The Pittsburgh Penguins forward and MSU alumnus saw his team fall to the Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup finals last week in a matchup that ignited an internal conflict for the Kalamazoo native.

Hoopers honored for sportsmanship

MSU graduates Drew Neitzel and Alisa Wulff were announced the Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winners on Wednesday. Neitzel, who graduated in May with a degree in interdisciplinary humanities, was a starting guard on the MSU men’s basketball team in each of the last three seasons and a co-captain his last two seasons.
