Izzo says Bridges' decision took maturity, Bridges sets eyes on National Title

When freshman forward Miles Bridges announced on Thursday he would be returning to MSU for his sophomore season, it came down to one factor. After getting his first taste of college basketball, Bridges barred any talks of cashing out and declaring for the NBA draft. Instead, Bridges insisted on rejoining his Spartan teammates for another season with the chance to win it all.

Brian Lewerke clear frontrunner in starting QB race

The path to find next season’s starting quarterback for the MSU football team has been paved. MSU head coach Mark Dantonio announced in a teleconference  Wednesday rising redshirt-junior Brian Lewerke is “clearly” the starter under center as the team prepares for the upcoming season.

Miles Bridges reportedly planning to return for sophomore season

First reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, MSU star Miles Bridges cancelled meetings with agents and was leaning toward returning for a sophomore season. In his latest report, Wojnarowski said barring a late change in heart, Bridges will return for his sophomore season. Bridges scored 473 points this season; one shy of Shawn Respert – to rank second in MSU freshman scoring through his 28 games.

MSU baseball's series against Fresno State moved to Grand Rapids

The Spartans have altered their weekend series against Fresno State and will move the games from East Lansing, Mich., to Grand Rapids, Mich.  MSU announced Thursday afternoon in a press release that due to wet field conditions and inclement weather, the weekend series will be moved to Fifth Third Ballpark, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps.  What was intended to be a three-game series starting on Friday will now be condensed into two days.

MSU football experiences slight schedule changes for years ahead

MSU football will kick off their 2019 season on Aug. 31, when the Spartans host the University of Tulsa, FBSSchedules.com reported Wednesday. With the Spartans' addition of the Golden Hurricanes, their 2019 schedule is now tentatively completed. According to FBSchedules.com, the Golden Hurricanes will receive a $1.2 million guarantee for their participation in the game in what will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The Spartans are also slated to face Western Michigan and Arizona State at home in 2019. In conference play, MSU will host Indiana, Penn State, Illinois and Maryland and will go on the road to play Northwestern, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan and Rutgers. This marks the second scheduling adjustment within the last week as the Spartans' 2017 matchup against Northwestern was moved back from Oct.
