Yet another Spartan icer has decided to leave MSU early to pursue a professional hockey career. On Sunday, MSU head coach Rick Comley announced that junior forward Tim Kennedy will leave MSU after signing a deal with the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres.

Mount Pleasant — The MSU baseball team slugged 14 hits and forced seven pitching changes Tuesday night – usually indicators of a blowout victory. This time, it was anything but. Central Michigan had 15 hits and forced nine pitching changes, as they outlasted MSU, 14-6, in an offensive battle at Theunissen Stadium.
Former Spartan Allison Fouch finished in a tie for second place in last weekend’s LPGA Michelob ULTRA Open in Williamsburg, Va. Fouch shot 12-under-par for the tournament, including seven-under par in the final round.
