Almost everyone remembers having a substitute teacher at some point in their K-12 education. It’s a day when students usually pass notes, talk to their friends or sometimes don’t even bother showing up for class. If the state House passes a bill dropping substitute teacher requirements from 90 college credit hours to 60, such a scenario could happen more often all over the state.
I am writing to express my disappointment and irritation to the majority of the business representatives at the Liberal Arts Career Fair on Thursday.

I am writing in response to Marcus Taylor’s decision to go pro or stay in school (“Taylor ticker,” SN 3/20). It really makes me sick, as a Spartan, to see he could be considering turning pro.
In Tom Smucker’s letter (“Need for contract affects ‘U’ majority,” SN 3/20), he claims the Graduate Employees Union is supported by a majority of graduate students, and the participation of “hundreds of graduate employees” in union activities is evidence of a majority initiative.
I couldn’t agree more with the sentiments expressed by the McDonel Hall residents who are footing a large bill due to vandalism (“U’ irked by hall damage rule,” SN 3/14). Since when does cleaning up other people’s messes constitute a moral obligation?
