The two-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina passed last week, and news reports indicate that, for thousands of people down in Louisiana, the situation hasn’t improved enough. Elsewhere around the world, the United States wages endless wars against Middle Eastern countries to stabilize the region, hurricanes slam into Central America and millions of Africans squander away years in refugee camps with little hope for improvement.
I am disappointed how both The State News and the MSU administration have informed students regarding the serial killer that was recently caught in Lansing.
MSU’s football team rang in the Mark Dantonio era with a resounding victory over UAB this past weekend. The Spartans showcased their potent running attack and barraged the visiting Blazers for 45 points before halftime en route to a 55-18 victory. Dantonio’s arrival at MSU has been long overdue.
