Three important individuals testified Thursday in the preliminary exam for two of the girls allegedly responsible for the savage beating of an MSU student just before spring break. The W.J. Beal Botanical Garden will see music once again, as garden administrators and staff are reviving a Music in the Garden program that has not been active for 18 years. Although the proposal to decriminalize marijuana was passed May 5, East Lansing officials said they do not expect much change in how use and possession of marijuana is enforced. The passage of the proposal decriminalizes the possession and use of up to one ounce of marijuana on private property in East Lansing by an adult 21 or over, but officials said it has caused some confusion among city residents as to what the ordinance will actually change.
