Proposal 2: A year later

Holiday ball to be held Saturday

Club raises research funds

Twelve thousand letters raising $50,000. Up ‘til Dawn, a nationwide college campus organization that raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, has an MSU branch that set those figures as a 2007 goal.

Loomis debuts as E.L. mayor

Bubbling with humble pride, Vic Loomis cracked a smile while walking up to the podium at City Hall to officially accept his new position. Loomis was unanimously selected by the East Lansing City Council on Wednesday to serve as mayor during a ceremonious council meeting in Courtroom 2 of the 54-B District Court, 101 Linden St.

An unknown suspect entered the Kresge Art Center and drew on hall walls, a dorm frame and a couch with a black permanent marker earlier this week, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
