Keynote speaker gives advice at nursing commencement ceremony

The nursing commencement ceremony took place on Saturday, May 7 at 9 a.m. in the Wharton Center. There were a total of 84 graduates celebrated, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Kathleen Nowicki Schwartz, the founding member of the College of Nursing Board of Visitors, served as keynote speaker.

Facility for Rare Isotope Beams opens with ribbon cutting ceremony

FRIB, a user facility for the U.S. The Department of Energy Office of Science, will hold what will be the most powerful heavy-ion accelerator. This accelerator will propel atoms to half the speed of light and will create collisions that produce rare isotopes. Previously, these rare isotopes were only found in the cosmos, but with FRIB’s technology, they will now be able to be produced on Earth.
