Proposed E.L. community kitchen might help hungry

The Rev. William Stein has seen people cut from jobs and negatively impacted by the economy. Stein, a pastor in Kalamazoo and chairman of God’s Kitchen, a community kitchen in Springfield, Mich., is spearheading a project to create Sparty’s Kitchen, a community kitchen that will provide five meals a week to members of the East Lansing community and students by spring 2012.

English senior Camerin Morey’s roommate came home Sept. 30 after hanging out with friends for a few hours to find his laptop missing from his locked room, with no sign of an invader.

Michigan Flyer makes Ann Arbor trip

The Michigan Flyer will make a special 11 p.m. trip from East Lansing to Ann Arbor after the Spartans’ football game against U-M Oct. 15. The later departure time will allow U-M students to spend time in East Lansing after the game.
