From researching the meaning behind his plays to learning how to speak in iambic pentameter for the first time, students and community members have been coming MSU to better understand William Shakespeare’s plays since last week.

Alert system to be tested Saturday

At 2 p.m. on Nov. 9, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Communications Commission will be conducting the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System, according to a report from the MSU Police. The test might last up to three an a half minutes.

Rubber duckies aren’t just for childrens’ bath times anymore. On Saturday, the star of Ernie’s song on Sesame Street and more than 600 of his little friends joined Phi Sigma Pi at the Red Cedar River in the second annual Rubber Ducky Derby.

This weekend, Lansing will play host to American Cancer Society’s annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the walk will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Capitol.
