Statements on Nassar from prominent officials

Former MSU employee Larry Nassar’s lawyers are focused on avoiding a trial by media.ch At the request of the defense, Ingham County Court Judge Rosemarie Aquilina signed an order last week which limits what can be said publicly about Nassar’s sexual assault trials.

Draheim brings federal expertise, environmental passion to City Council

Councilmember Erik Altmann, elected at the same time as Draheim and Mayor Mark Meadows, said Draheim is very dedicated to the community and to the city. “She works hard and she has policy expertise, which she brings to bear on our discussions, and she always has an eye out for compromise which has helped the council gel in the last year and a half,” Altmann said. “We’ve worked on a number of issues and I think we have similar views on specific issues like transportation and environmental policy, and she knows more about this stuff from her day job than I do from mine.

'It's On Us' week proved successful for ASMSU and other orgs involved

This is the first time MSU has changed its direction with the "It's On Us" national campaign by organizing a whole week of events to raise sexual harassment and sexual violence awareness.  “The goal of our week of action is really to engage individuals who may not of attended programs and events before, may not of been aware of this issue and its impact of the community, or may not of known how they can individually get involved in efforts to prevent sexual violence," Title IX Coordinator Jessica Norris said.
