MSU says farewell to 'The Ducks' campaign

MSU hosted a special event Monday, named "Farewell To The Flock," celebrating the end of its long-running Ducks campaign. A massive line of students queued at the event between 6 and 8 p.m., eager to grab the final pieces of beloved duck-themed memorabilia, including limited-edition T-shirts and stickers.

MSU planning strategic fundraising push following years of turbulence

The last time MSU launched a major fundraising campaign was 2014, before it had weathered the host of perception-shaping incidents that have come to define the university’s difficult decade. Now, in a vastly different place than it was 10 years ago, MSU has confirmed it’s trying again, looking to donor support at a pivotal point in the university’s history.

On-campus Spanish living community to open next fall

The only student-led living-learning community, La Casa, is set to open in fall 2025 for students interested in Spanish. This LLC is led by four student co-chairs who are working to open La Casa in Shaw Hall for students with varying levels of Spanish proficiency to find community and learning support.

Clifton R. Wharton Jr, first Black MSU president, dies at 98

Dr. Clifton R. Wharton Jr, MSU’s first Black president and a community leader and pioneer, has died at the age of 98. During his tenure, Wharton maintained the quality of MSU’s academic programs and was known for his commitment to educating people who are economically disadvantaged.
