Vigil held at State Capitol for Orlando massacre victims

On Sunday at 6 p.m. around 100 people from the Lansing community gathered at the State Capitol to mourn the ones who were lost in the Orlando massacre from early Sunday morning. The month of June is national LGBT Pride Month, but instead of celebrating life and love, the country is mourning the biggest mass shooting in U.S. history.

MSU employee among the fatal Kalamazoo bike crash victims

One of the victims of the June 7 bike crash, that killed five people and injured four in Kalamazoo County, was an MSU employee. Suzanne Sippel, age 56, was a data manager for the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station (KBS), MSU’s largest off-campus education complex that offers courses and research opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students in biology-related fields.

Healthy eats in East Lansing

When in a rush it's easy to pick up food that isn't healthy. In a city with more than 50 restaurants, East Lansing doesn't count healthy food out. Places like Sultan's, located in Okemos and East Lansing, and Tropical Smoothie serve quick and healthy meals for customers on the go.

6 pieces of stolen art recovered by ELPD

The East Lansing Police Department have found and recovered six pieces of artwork stolen during the East Lansing Art Festival. Police suspect that the work was primarily of an interrelated and intoxicated group, not an individual, a similar circumstance to previous vandalisms.
