MSU professor teaches online course on the zombie apocalypse

“Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse – Disasters, Catastrophes, and Human Behavior” is an award-winning class taught online every summer at MSU. Human geography junior Richard Wetzel said the course discusses disasters and catastrophes and how well people respond and retain their humanity in these situations.

Lansing club soccer has ties to MSU program

Cap City Athletic 1847, the first-year youth soccer club of Lansing, is primed to begin its inaugural season. Cap City held tryouts this past weekend at the East Lansing Soccer Complex, for which club president Dan Jury said more kids showed up than expected. The club’s new members celebrated their registration Tuesday night with a World Cup watch-party at the Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe in East Lansing.

MSU Board of Trustees approve increased tuition and smoking ban

The Trustees raised tuition by 2.7 percent for in-state lower division students, or roughly $12 per credit hour, and 2.7 percent for upper division students. Though the Trustees lamented the tuition raise, with many blaming the declining state support for higher education. “These always difficult decisions, balancing acts," President Lou Anna K.

Draymond Green had doubters when he entered the NBA after a senior season at MSU in which he averaged 16.2 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game. Armed robbery in Okemos possibly tied to medical marijuana

Meridian Township Police are investigating an armed robbery which took place the evening of of June 11 at the 1600 Block of Pebblestone in Okemos. According to a police report, at approximately 8:20 p.m., the two men living in the residence realized that two subjects had entered the home.
