Spartans, During the past few days, there have been some unfortunate actions that have occurred within the Associated Students of Michigan State University (ASMSU). These actions have direct implications on several of our student communities on and off campus, and for that I sincerely apologize.

On Friday night, the University Activities Board (UAB) put on an outdoor laser tag event at IM Circle. The event accumulated more students than the event could hold, which caused the UAB to suggest people leave in order to save their time, according to UAB Manager Cathy Fitzpatrick.

Two days, two games, and two wins for MSU Volleyball. The No. 21 MSU volleyball team took the win against the University of Maryland in four sets Saturday, right after their win against No. 14 Ohio State.
The MSU football team (2-3 overall record, 0-2 Big Ten record) lost their third straight game of the season to the BYU Cougars (3-3 overall, Independent) in a non-conference tilt sandwiched between Big Ten season.
For the second year in a row, MSU swept No. 14 Ohio State on Friday, 25-18, 25-20, 25-23. From the beginning of the game the Spartans led, and in certain plays they made OSU looked confused on the floor.

By August 2017, a new building will be shining on Grand River Avenue. The 565 Building, operated by Cron Management, LLC, started demolition and construction last week on a new mixed-use building project. The building will be on the same lot as the old Taco Bell building and will be five stories, director of planning, building and development Tim Dempsey said.
Though most think of The Gallery in Snyder-Phillips Hall as a nothing more than a place for food between classes, for physics junior Benjamin Roggenbuck and microbiology sophomore Casey Grody, it’s the place they got engaged. After meeting at the cafeteria two and a half years ago, Roggenbuck said he thought it would be the perfect location for the proposal.
MSUPD reports that there have been 225 minor-in-possession arrests on MSU's campus so far this year. There were 431 arrests in 2015.
