Hospitality business students put heart into planning annual dinner

There are several traditions at MSU that are intertwined within the students, fans and alumni that have set foot on the East Lansing campus. The range from tailgating on football Saturdays, to kissing your significant under the Beaumont Tower to gain luck on your future marriage, to taking a picture with Sparty. There’s one tradition that’s been put together by hospitality business students that were continued on April 8 at the Huntington Club at Spartan Stadium. Les Gourmets is a dinner put on by hospitality business students that have been put on since 1955 and this year will feature a Route 66 theme called “A Fork in the Road.” “This year we’re featuring live action stations,” Les Gourmets CFO Stephanie Ragatzki said.

MSU Museum to appoint new director, Mark Auslander, in July

The MSU Museum will gain a new leader come this July. Sociocultural and cultural anthropologist Mark Auslander will become MSU Museum’s new director and an associate professor of history and anthropology at MSU. His mission? Get more members of the MSU community to engage in the museum and explore new ideas.

MSU alumnus and Which Wich CEO honored by College of Com. Arts

He has stores everywhere from Dallas to Dubai, but MSU alumnus Jeff Sinelli is thinking back to his roots for his next location. Sinelli, Founder and CEO of the Dallas-based Which Wich Superior Sandwiches restaurant chain, will receive a 2017 Outstanding Alumni Award from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences Alumni Board today. “It’s always nice to be recognized in any form, so I’m pretty stoked about it,” Sinelli said.
